The built in freeview is an obvious advantage, and a clear signal is picked up even in this poor signal area. Philips 26PF5521D ... would like to start this review by saying that buying this TV had given me my faith back in technology and famous brands. I am saying this because we had a bit of a bad start after acquiring a Samsung tv similar to this Philips one and we were really disappointed with Samsung. It could be that we were unlucky but I think it was a stroke of luck really as I then turned my attention to Philips after reading reviews on Amazon and chose this very one. We ve owned it for over a year and it has been amazing in terms of picture quality and sound quality. Well done Philips. Panasonic TX-26LMD70F ... winner on its release in 2007, a year on it would still be as good but at a more reasonable price. Did it meet our requirements and is it worth a punt, let s have a look at the criteria in order of importance. It does come with a freeview tuner but integrated DVD players were harder to find and did not come with this TV. Picture ~ This 26 inch panel is one of Panasonic s entry level models; it comes with an impressive array of features but lacks some of the whistles and bells of its more expensive cousins. Sony KDL-26S3000 ... Sony KDL-26S300 is a 26 inch flat panel LCD HDTV that is part of Sony s Bravia S-Series. It cost £370 from www.directtvs.co.uk - over £100 cheaper than on Amazon at the time proving that it really does pay to shop around for a new TV. It was very east to set up with everything more or less happening automatically as soon as you switch it on or plug them in. The set is a well built and sleekly designed right down to the stylish remote control.
