Toshiba 37Z3030D ... am really impressed with this television. It has a superb picture and good sound. Setting up was easy. It quickly found the analogue and digital (Freeview) channels. The initial colour was too red for my taste, but this was soon corrected by the easy to use menu. Switching between analogue channels is very easy as there is a dedicated button on the remote control. Not that I use this much of course! The remote is very easy to use, although the first one that I had was faulty and I had to get a replacement. I have a Humax HD freesat PVR satellite receiver connected to it via HDMI and the HD quality is excellent. When switching the set on, it automatically selects ... LG 37LG5000 ... that 5000, 5010, and 5020 are really same product (I asked LG). Looked at this with other 37 inch 1080p TVs in several shops and it always seemed at least as good as anything in its price class and indeed better than some costing rather more. The tuner side works well, our Wharfedale box (about a year old) would drop signal on the non-BBC multiplexes to the extent that on a bad day it was unwatchable, the LG doesn t lose signal at all so far. I should add we are definitely in a poor signal area, we can only get Freeview at all because we re on a hill, the transmitter is almost 50 miles away (obviously we have a serious antenna). Toshiba 37C3030D ... am writing from my parents this week. I get the great job of looking after their house and dog whilst they sun themselves on a cruise. So being somewhere different I thought I may as well write some reviews about their items that I ve been using. To start I am going to write about their tv in the sitting room. It s a 37" LCD TV. They purchased it just over a year ago in Comet for £699.99. We originally took mum and dad to Inverness with the intention of buying them a 32" tv for the sitting room as dad was fed up of the bulky CRT 28" tv.
