Having been used to having a TV from the stone age which weighed a ton and took up half the living room we decided to go for a sleek LCD and decided on this one. Sony KDL-40W5500 ... my trusty Trinitron (literally) went pop, I turned to amazon for my next TV purchase, having been impressed with their service and good prices over the years. I was looking for a 37" W series Sony Bravia but as this model was only £10 more expensive (£759.99) , it would have been rude not to go for the bigger screen. Despite specifying next day delivery, it actually took three days to arrive (via Citylink) but the extra £8.80 charge was politely and promptly refunded within three hours of my inquiry. It s very modern and supports all modern day cables so you can connect your DVD player, games consoles, Sky box and everything else. The television can be bought online or from electrical stores such as Currys for around £640, which isn t bad at all. You get a huge 40 inch HD ready television with HDMI and iDTV (digital television). It has a 3000:1 dynamic ratio, which gives superb contrast between the blacks and whites and a clear gradation between them, which leads to a vivid picture.
