Toshiba 42X3030D ... bought this TV solely for use with my PS3 to play games and films in 1080p, and it really has been worth it. Very easy to set everything up with my Virgin box and the PS3, it s got connectivity for 2 HDMI cables (as well as the usual array of scart sockets etc), which for nearly everyone is enough. The picture is superb, with vivid colours and the sound from the in built speakers is decent enough. When watching a blu ray film in 1080p it really does blow you away - I didn t know colours on a tv could be so vivid and real! Overall, then, this really is a very good TV. Philips 42PFL7603D ... I unpacked this TV I was amazed at the picture, the unit would look good in any room, it is so easy to set up unlike a lot of TV s, The sound from the set itself is not to bad but if you plug it into a surround system then you have a great picture and sound 5.1 is the best, the other great thing about this TV is the amount of imputes you have on the rear you have two scart sockets and you also have three HDMI inputs, and then on the side you get another HDMI input an svideo input, and out put pins then again on the back you get audio out and audio in plus the pr pb and y pins for plugging in camcorders ect, there is also a audio in jack, so no matter what you want to... LG 42LC55 ... ve had this TV for only a month but I really do think its great! The TV looks very stylish, polished black. The speaker is hidden under the screen which confused me a bit when I got it! It also comes with a matching black glossy stand. The HD wasn t amazing with the PS3, Sky HD or DVD players that are HD. I did notice that the picture was quite impressive on normal standard TV. If you don t have Sky HD or Sky HD, the picture quality should be great! The sound is amazing! It was honestly about 5x better than my old TV! The sound comes from 2x10 watt speakers.
