Samsung LE-46M87BD ... bought this TV a while back. After reading up on the current options at the time it seemed like the best choice for me. The image quality is very good for bluray movies however it is let down slightly by its handling of standard definition picture. Standard input such as SD satellite TV has a slight blur and there are visible blocks. Fast moving object also suffer when not played through a high definition source. I have had this TV for over a year now and the only problem I have ever had with it was with the backlight. The light suddenly went out one day and rendered the TV impossible to watch. Samsung LE-46B650 ... decision to buy a TV of this size is huge to the variety and relatively similar prices ranges when you reach this size, but I can say this TV is brilliant. The TV is black but has the Samsung "rose" finish so if you look at it from the right angle or with the sunlight through the sides you can see the red effect. The TV stand is very easy to remove so that you can put this on the wall and the difference between this and the 7 series samsung is that you don t have the 2 light sources coming down from the bottom of the TV. Sony KDL-46S2530U ... bought this TV December 2007, and it has been an excellent buy. The TV itself is HD ready, which means that it only goes up to 1080i. Even though it is not full HD the quality is not bad, the colour ratios are a bit low compared to new TV s, however then again this TV is over two years old now. At first when I used the TV the colours did not look right but after doing some tweaks with the settings, the TV gives out excellent picture after you have set it up to the right colour, brightness and contrast ratios. But as the TV has a low ratio it does mean that from close up the TV picture quality does not look as good, so it is only good to watch from a distance. The T...
