Technika LCD42-M5

I moved in to a house with my partner for the first time and we both only had tiny bedroom TVs. We live virtually next door to a huge Tesco's and went in just after Christmas in the hope of getting a bargain, which we did it cost just over £300 for a 40" HD ready TV.
Excellent picture quality, great for gaming, we've ... plugged in our own surround sound speakers so I couldn't really tell you much about the sound quality. If you're anything like my other half obsessed with Xbox and shooting games the sound is brilliant with the extra speakers, and its nice to finally have a telly to match the sound quality.
The TV was easy to tune and set up, and it looks smart. Very good for those on a budget, you wouldn't guess it was a cheap one from Tesco by looking at it! Read the complete review |

Sony KDL-20B4050

I received this television for Christmas a four years ago and it is a brilliant little TV. I am watching it all of the time.
Sony was found in 1946 and is a Japanese company that focuses on making electonics and entertainment. They produce excellent quality products and I have used them for most of the TVs in the house, my ... smartphone, all the DVD players and recorders in the house and Playstations. These are just the things I can think of now as they do many more types of electronics.
The Sony TV has a 20 inch screen. This is small compared to most TVs these days as now most people go for the bigger the better. I have this in my bedroom so I don't need it too big but we do have TVs a lot bigger elsewhere in the house.
The tv is a mocha colour, I really like this colour as it makes a change to black all the time and it works well with any colour scheme (mine is a lilac room).
The shape is a rectangle as all TVs are but I like how the top corners are squared and the bottom two are rounded. I think this makes it different to other TVs that I have seen.
At the bottom of the tv you can see speakers and there are volume, programme and menu buttons but I usually use the control.
The control is a simple design and has all the necessary buttons like volume, channel, on / off button. As I have a Sony DVD player as well I can use the buttons from the DVD to change the volume and everything else. I prefer to use that one as it means there are less controls around.
Although it looks like a flat screen that could be mounted on a wall I have it stood on its own. It is quite light so when you press the on button I often end up pushing it at the same time. Luckily it is in front of a wall so it can't go too far.
It is a hd ready tv with virtual dolby surround sound. It has really good sound and the volume can go really really loud. Although the volume goes up to 100 I usually only need it around 25 and this is quite loud. You definitely don't need it at the highest or the whole street will be able to hear as well. At least you have the option to go loud as some devices can be really quiet.
It was really easy to set up this tv and there are instructions included to follow. I usually try to do it without reading them but I always have to read them in the end. I'm just not clever enough.
I would definately recommend this tv as it makes great TV viewing. I cannot think of any problems with it and it has not changed in quality over the three or four years I have had it. An excellent tv for my bedroom. Read the complete review |
