Hannspree Xv 32" ... this TV about 3years ago, when I wanted a HD TV for my Xbox. Didn t realise at the time that it was only 720p, but HD wasn t that big back then. I paid £300 and it was classed as a Dabs value tv. The interface for the actual TV is good, no big lag and gets the job done well. The video and audio quality are great once setup to your needs. Physically the TV is not too big and fits nicely into my bedroom. Remote control is also not too bulky. Picture quality for the xbox once it is put onto HD is not the best as its only 720p. LG 19LH2000 ... partner bought this TV a few months ago to go in our bedroom. He and I are at extremes of the spectrum when it comes to our viewing habits - prior to meeting him I didn t even own a telly for several years, preferring to cherry-pick from the internet things I really needed to see. But when we saw this LG in Aldi (yes!) on a deal at £150, it was actually me that remarked first on the value. I d quite fancied an LG for our main set, but at upwards of £400 for the size we needed then, they d been a bit too expensive. At 19", this set was bearable to me for the bedroom, but enough to satisfy my partners desire for "Soccer am" in bed with bacon sandwiches on... Toshiba 40XF355D ... ve had mine for a year and a half now, and I m perfectly happy with it. At the time I bought it, it was a very highly rated mid-range TV - with one unique selling point being the very narrow frame around the screen. The effect of this narrow frame is that its exterior dimensions are similar to that of a normal 37 inch TV - which is a definite bonus in tight spaces. If you were looking to buy one of these now, you should be able to pick one up for far less than the £900 that I paid for mine, so it should be considered something of an end-of line bargain.
