There are enough connections and ports on it that you should be able to plug any audio visual equipment you have into it, the several HDMI ports are particually useful. Having been used to having a TV from the stone age which weighed a ton and took up half the living room we decided to go for a sleek LCD and decided on this one. It cost us £540 in Dixons and we bought it online it arrived a week later and came in the hugest box ever! So what do you get for the £540 I hear you cry! Sony KDL-40W5500 ... my trusty Trinitron (literally) went pop, I turned to amazon for my next TV purchase, having been impressed with their service and good prices over the years. I was looking for a 37" W series Sony Bravia but as this model was only £10 more expensive (£759.99) , it would have been rude not to go for the bigger screen. Despite specifying next day delivery, it actually took three days to arrive (via Citylink) but the extra £8.80 charge was politely and promptly refunded within three hours of my inquiry. Like all amazon deliveries, tracking was easy online. It comes with a Sony 3 year guarantee. OUT OF THE BOX It was actually light enough to remove from the box ... Sony KDL-46W4500 ... there has only been one make when it comes to televisions, Sony. There has also only been one brand that embodies the quality of the item, Bravia. This 46" Widescreen LCD version certainly lives up the name. HD ready with full 1080p resolution means that watching anything on this screen is simply a joyful experience. I must admit, I did not totally buy into the whole "HD" thing when it first arrived on the scene. Since seeing Planet Earth at a friend s house though I was completely sold, the detail was incredible.
