Toshiba 32ZP18Q: ... think this is the most stylish flat-screen TV available at the moment (Nov. 2002), which is the reason we bought it. My wife felt the majority of other such TV's, such as the Sony or JVC ranges, were hideously ugly, massively out of proportion to most people?s living rooms with fat, stubby legs. I tended to agree, but I was more interested in the performance than the looks. With it now sitting at home though, i...

... have owned this TV since Christmas 2001, purchased at the same time as a Sony DAVs-500 home cinema. Don't get me wrong, this is a cracking tv set but does have some minor flaws, not surprising as the equivalent sony tv's at the time were about 25% more and quite simply well overpriced. Anyway, I had been looking for a new tv for some time and wasn't sure what to go for, a chance encouter at a local tv retailer whilst having a weekend break in Lanark in early December 2001 arose my interest in the new Panasonic range, they had received the new models and I was lucky enough for the chap in the shop to give me the full monty (not in that sense!). Excited abo...

This is an experience in itself, since I detest going to the shops - so m...

... is a serious manufacturer's fault with this TV. I had mine for 18 months and then suddenly it started changing the channel to one of the external (SCART) channels by itself. It also keeps flicking backwards and forwards between channels, so yo can't watch TV through the video. And to make things worse Phillips have run out of the part they need to fix it. I'm left staring at a dead TV with no guaranteed date of repair. Stay away from this TV!!!! ...
