Sony KDF-E50A11E ... make up the picture, the better. In reality, the TV only uses a 720 lines but this has no detrimental effect on picture quality. So what is the picture like in comparison to a regular TV I hear you say……well, it's very hard to describe how impressed I was with the picture. It was the first thing unpacked in my flat and once wired up I had to try out a DVD and I found that for an hour and a half I sat in front of the screen saying quite loudly "look at that blue/red/green", "look at the detail" and "f^&k me this is awesome". Toshiba 42WH46P ... menu I was given step by step instructions and found them very easy to follow. The screen on this TV is massive and really enjoyable to watch, the colours are true crisp and clear with a choice of picture size at a press of the button i.e.........wide, superlive, cinema, 4.9 and 16.9. there is also a freeze picture function were you can freeze the picture then unfreeze and it carries on from where it left off, useful if you want to go make a cuppa. The sound quality is superb from the built in speakers with Bass boost and super woofer, I have my home cinema surround sound connected too and this just makes it awesome when watching movies. Samsung SP 42W4 ... be wrong. I found I had to fiddle about with picture setting, including a function called perfect focus before we got an optimum picture. However, once we'd done this, I have to say I very impressed with the picture quality. You can also change the picture size, depending on what you are watching, which is a nice feature. ~~~Sound Quality~~~ Sound quality is perfectly acceptable, if a little quiet. We find that volume generally needs to be turned up to about 30, which seems high to me. There are no fancy surround sound speakers, so everything is in bog standard stereo, but if you want more then you'd buy a separate surround sound system. ~~~The size~~~ This TV is mas...
