It does however take a Top Up TV card without any Conditional Access Module! I am not sure if even Top Up TV know that. After abot 4 years the picture collapsed with a pop and with little hope I lugged this monstrously heavy beast to the local repairer, who often takes months on repairs (though is very thorough and traditional - even repairing old valve radios.) I bought a Bush 6690D / 7690D Digital Television as a treat having been made redundant (Got some tax back). I thought it would help make viewing DVD's better. The blurb said that it has; improved crystal clear picture, digital stereo, on screen guide, advanced digital text, 4:3 and 16:9 broadcasts, full remote control, scart socket; av in and out, 10 free digital chanels; analogue tuner; a buit in modem (just discovered this), rear mounted card slot and a common interface to allow for future upgrades. I purchased the television at Dixons. It was for the amazing price of £399.00. The fact that ...

The Bush 6690D digital TV provided an excellent chance to step up to the world of digital viewing and at a very competitive price hence when my girlfriend and I decidede we needed a new TV we thought this was the obvious choice. As a TV it produces a very good quality picture and sound and has provided us with all the additional channels originally provided under ONDigital and the short-lived ITV digital. However, whilst we can still view these channels we are not able to make use of the interactive facilites as providede by newer TV's and the Digiboxes which are sold seperately for normal TV's. This seemed minor at first, but there appears to be a ...

Bought a Bush 669 OD when they first appeared around 6 years ago for £399 from Argos. I agree with everything other reviewers say. These were cheap at the time yet the picture and sound was and remains brilliant after 6 years. Badged as "Bush" they were clearly prototypes released a little too early as they have some strange habits as others have noted. The sound on my set also disappears every few months and is only returned by swtching off so this is obviously a common fault. Though you can add channels my TV does not do software updates over the air. It does however take a Top Up TV card without any Conditional Access Module! I am not sure if even Top ...
