I bought this tv December 08 from Ebuyer.com. I'd never had an LCD tv before or one as big as 32". It has a clear picture, the colours are bright. It is HD ready and I've got my Virgin+ box attached - my only grumble is that on the HD channels and when I play a DVD, the sound level is very low - I have to put it in the 60s to be able to hear it. The tv handles my xbox 360, wii and ps3 consoles with no problem, sometimes the pictures is a little dark but a press of a couple of buttons solves it. It has two HDMI ports, two scart sockets and several component sockets (for the red, white and yellow cables). I'd never heard of Hannspree before I got it and I couldn't find a review of it, but for less than £300 I thought I'd give it a go. Ebuyer delivered it two days after ordering, which was excellent, especially as it was 3 days before christmas.
Had this one for just under an year now. It is not as expensive as the Samsungs or Panasonics. The 32" was just about the right size for the living room space. Any bigger and it would have overshadowed the whole room.
The LCD screen is very clear. It has a HDMI port, so that means it is future proof for Blue Ray players and PS3 game consoles. I also plug in my laptop to it to watch movies. However would not recommend using the screen for normal laptop working. It is massive, but the resolution is not very high.
The only major problem I have faced on this is, that when you plug in your laptop to the screen, use it and then unplug the laptop, the TV goes into a freeze. With an orange light. Restarting the TV with the remote just does not work. You need to basically switch the main power off and start it over again. Which in my case means restarting the Virgin box, the router, the whole lot.
For the price one pays for these things, they are pretty good.
