Advantages: Great value for money
Disadvantages: Annoying menu to get to DVD player etc
Hannspree Xv 32" TV is great value for money.
I finished uni coming up 2 years ago, and decided that with all my debts to pay off I would INVEST in a tele of a reasonable size for my bedroom to stop me from going and wasting all my money down the pub.
After researching on loads of websites (keeping in mind I just wanted a tv, I didn't care how big, what brand etc) I came across www.clearancebuys.co.uk I looked on the website for TV's and found the Hannspree Xv 32" for £329.00 inc UPS next day delivery.
I am cautious when buying online and do like to know someone that has brought on the site before, but I rang them and asked if they had the tv in stock, which they did and checked out registered addresses etc, it all seemed legitimate so I went ahead online and ordered.
Delivery was excellent, they delivered it the next day to my work address and I was already to set it up that night.
This tv set did NOT come with freeview, but I wasn't told it did, it has a good picture and picks up all 5 channels. I have a Nintendo Wii, Super Nintendo, a DVD player, video player and now a freeview box all hooked up to it. It handles this fine.
The only down side of this tv is (perhaps it's just me though and you 'normal' people that can work with technology may ask what I'm talking about) is I cannot seem to change the tv to scart or video without going through the TV's main menu - a bit annoying but in all honesty I am used to it.
I like the tv, so much so I recommended the tv and website to my parents and low and behold they own one too.
Summary: Well worth the money for the size and quality

- 19/03/09 If you "turn off" your tv, via the button, rather than the remote. When you next turn the TV on, it will revert back to the feed it was on previous to switching it off! Otherwise like you say, you have to access the menu again. |
