I bought this set as I recall JVC as a brand standing for excellent quality. Pros: Installation was easy and straight forward as it was merrely pluged in and switched on. The contrast ratio works ok for signals coming through the cable. Cons: The contrast ratio is insufficent for high quality pictures, like those from a DVD. Worst: The set is very sensible to burn in pictures or shadows. After a short time of use, we had a dark shadow in the middle of the screen. It does state in the manual burn ins may occour.
