i purchased this television a couple of years back as i didn't want something too big and bulky in my living room.
i don't really watch a lot of television normally due to my busy working mum lifestyle, in fact its only really the little one that will watch a couple of programmes or films.
obviously since i bought this, all sorts of new tvs have hit the market such as 3d or smart tvs but to be honest i wouldn't waste my money on them as like i said i don't have time to watch much tv in the first place.
overall this television has been great value costing me around 220 a couple of years ago. it has good colour, built in free view and easy to control and connect to other devices such as dvd player and games.
hopefully this television will last me for a while yet to come and will serve its purpose well
Well technology is getting better and better so let's be honest most people would not rate this television, due to the fact it is slightly dated now compared to the 3D TV's and ones that connect to the Internet but my review is not to compare to up-to-date technology but to review the television itself.
My partner bought this television years ago and I find it fantastic, it is the perfect size for our living room. The setting for the television are so easy to use, which I find rare for most flat screen televisions and the better the flat screen, the more complicated the settings. So it is completely idiot proof for people like me, who are not good at setting up televisions.
The quality of the screen itself is great, we were not looking for big and fancy we just wanted a reliable television with a clear picture and that's exactly what we got.
We are so happy with our television that even though there are some amazing televisions out there we are happy at home with our old reliable LG.
I purchased this TV from Argos about a year ago, the reviews were good for this TV and it was in the sale at the time for less than £300 so I bought it as our previous TV was so out of date.
The LG 32 inch screen - the picture quality was not straight away up to my usual standard (I have quite high standards for TV watching) but after having a fiddle with the different screen set ups I got it to a really good watchable standard.
There are two scart lead sockets so I could wire in the Blu ray player and run SKY through it easily if not there are the five sockets for the wire attachments.
The sound quality I wasn't that impressed with due to the speakers being built in to the TV screen it self so when watching a movie to TV I would have to turn it up to 30 to hear properly and when the adverts came on I would need to turn it down again. If you can wire the TV through your stereo this will probably solve the problem.
The reason I gave this product a medium rating was only once I got SKY HD, it improved the picture and sound immediately and made watching the TV fun again.
The hand controller is L9 inches by W2inches and easy to use and easy to switch between Blu ray and normal TV.
It comes with a stand that you will need to build, so read the instructions properly because if you are like me and jump straight in and don't read them the stand will not hold the TV, once read the stand was solid.
Overall a stylish TV but could do with the speakers being built on the outside.
