I bought this TV back in January this year, and I love it. It was veery easy to setup, and you also get the option to either have it on the wall or on the stand. This was purchased at a supermarket and was very cheap compared to eveywhere else. I have an xbox and SKY Hd hooked up to it and it all looks great. The HD quality that you get is brilliant, I have no plans to upgrade my TV in the near future as I love it to much. It is just the right size for a small-medium living roon without it looking like it overpowers the room balance. The controls are very easy to use, the remote is long but is very light. It has 3 HDMI connections which is very handy if you have a games console, HD dvd player and digital service, as there is room for all three without worrying that you don't have enough connections. It is very light so it is easy to move around, even the other half can lift it. It looks great, it looks very modern. But one thing is the dust gets atracted to it very easy, we wipe it and it just gets straight back on. But If you are looking for a nice cheap TV then this is for you.
I bought this tv in January for £399 which i personally think was a bargain for such a sleek and stylish tv. Finished in piano black (glossy), it does collect dust very easily, and gains a few fingerprints, however a lint cloth is provided and it cleans very easily.
When i bought this tv i had it in mind that i would mount it on the wall, however the brackets for flat screen tv's over 32 inch cost too much money (about a quarter of the price of the tv), so i screwed the base down and have no problems, in fact it suits me better that way as you can swivel the tv around to where you want.
Set up was easy, haven't used the freeview as I don't get a reception here. this is a HD ready tv, so i'm guessing if you have HD sky than this would be perfect as even connecting a DVD player or my playstation gives an amazing picture.
The only downside I have found is the sound quality. You have to put the volume up to over 20 to get decent sound, and there is often not much difference between the different volume levels.
I bought this t.v in november from additions for 499.99. i have never owned a product from LG berfore but my friend swears by them so i thought id give it a try.
The t.v is beautiful, the finish is superb, its got a shiny finish. (little people finger prints stick out by a mile so we wall mounted ours.)
There are no buttons on display, only a discreet on/off button on the front. All the other controls are via remote or by a panel of buttons on the side that are not visible.
The speakers are also not visible and this gives the tv a really sleek look.
Freeview is built in and there many different functions for viewing the listings and guides of programmes. also a really cool feature of booking your programme, either for the tv to remind you something is starting or for a recording of that programme to be made (not used the record feature yet but its looks as though the tv will start recording it for you as it asks you to make sure that the vcr timer is set.)
the picture quality is very good, my oh has an x box360 and he says that the game playing quality is excellent, we also run our wii off the tv and the picture is great.
changing settings on the tv for what ever you are using it for is a great extra and gives you better quality picture i.e watching a dvd-change it to cinema or xbox change it to game.
the tv is very much worth its money, and i was extremely happy with my purchase.
i personally didnt set up the tv but my it didnt take my oh half an hour to do, and i think from what he was saying that the tv pretty much guides you through it.
how ever, there is just one thing i would recommend if purchasing this tv and are going to mount it onto the wall, shop around for brackets! the one associated with additions was £89.00! the one in currys was not much better, but i got one for £45.00 so it really does pay to look around.
