Advantages: Nice design, good PQ for the price
Disadvantages: Sound from speakers is bad, small screen, not the best PQ overall
I bought this HDTV just to play Halo 3 on. I play competitively and playing on a smaller screen improves your battle rifle and sniping, so I thought I would write a review on it.
Halo 3 looks nice... not great. Compared to my Sony v4000 it doesn't look as vibrant and detailed but for the price and for a smaller set you can't expect wonders. I also tried COD4 which looks better and BioShock which looked the best of the three but the TV did show a weakness in its black levels.
To be blunt, don't expect much from the built in speakers. They sound very high pitched and bad quality... but as I used a Turtle Beach headset with 5.1, this didn't bother me as they never get used.
For DVD it's okay, the smaller screen makes them less satisfying and don't even think about using it for Blu Ray! As it's only a 20", setting the TV up is basically non-existant. I literally just pulled it out the box and attached the little stand. Job done.
Basically, if you're buying this for your main TV then I strongly recommend you look elsewhere and go for at least a 32". If you're using this as a monitor or as a seperate set like me, then it's a grest choice as it is not expensive and looks very nice in black.
Summary: Buy it for a monitor or seperate set, but I wouldn't recommend it as your main TV
