This is a review on the LG M227WD, it was bought for the three use's (1) for use as a monitor for a pc, (2) for gaming with an Xbox 360 - as it supports 1080p/HDMI connection, and for (3) watching televison, due to the inbuilt DVB-T tuner.

--- ** Specififcation ** ----

For the full spec, click the "Technical Details" above (a lot of members forget about this feature of the Dooyoo website, and complain when not all the specifications are included in the review). What I want to say though is that the key features are the amount of connections, with two HDMI ports, VGA, DVI-D, S-video, Scart and it also has Optical Audio Out (This is really useful, because due to the size of the set the speakers are not very powerful - although for the size 22" this tv has better speakers than many in this size/price bracket - and therefore you can plug it into a 5.1 (or 2.1) speaker system to get better audio.

The LCD TV is easy to use, and the EPG system for the Freeview is a treat to operate, having many advanced features, such as its ability to tell you exactly how much you have progressed in the current show, so if you change channel you can see how much you have missed so far. The screen has amazing clarity, and the contrast is very good (10,000:1). The screen is its best when in 1080p, when playing xbox 360 through the HDMI connection, the clarity is exceptional and the detail you have memorising. As I said earlier this is also used as a PC monitor and it also functions this job very well, at the max resolution of 1920x1080 - that is really good, and you have plenty of space for a word document in half the screen and another application in the other.

--Overall---
This is a fantastic set, and from Amazon and Dixons its only £183 at the moment, a steal for a set like this. The only negatives is that the stand is not completely stable and will rock if you shake it about a lot on the table. Although this model, can be wall mounted. From an aesthetic perspective this looks fantastic against a white wall, and looks very stylish.
