I already had a big TV for the living room so I was looking for something a little smaller for the bedroom which I found this TV to be ideal for. The main reasons for buying it was so I could watch TV in bed at night and in the morning but another big selling point was that it has Freeview built into it so as long as you have sufficient coverage in your area you will be able to pick up about 40 digital channels which was important as I didn't want an additional set top box under the TV and if I had just bought a normal TV it would have been useless by the time of digital switch over in my area.
Another reason is that the TV is very slim and can fit in the smallest of places, I didn't think it would fit on the small table across the room but the length of it means it can go almost anywhere. Like I said I only wanted it for the built in Freeview and not use it for anything else but if you want to it also has several ports for different connections. EG a basic scart lead for your DVD player/Sky digibox etc and you can also connect it to your PC to stream things from the internet on it.
I haven't tested it for these but the basic picture quality on the Freeview service is brilliant and it is exactly what I wanted it for so I am very pleased with it overall.
