I bought mine in Oct 2001 and it is still giving a fantastic picture and sound, I opted for the surround sound speakers at an extra £50. Definitely worth the extra money. the sound is so clear and crisp that I have many times got up to answer the front door after hearing the door bell going off only to realise that I don't have a doorbell! I got this TV last Monday, our old diddy family TV which was hundreds of years old finally got replaced and moved upstairs! I'm a bit of a fan of Panasonic goods - amongst the Panasonic stuff I have is a TV, DVD, Video, and walkman. So when I came to upgrade my old 4:3 TV to widescreen, it wasn't so much of a choice as to "which TV", but more of a choice of "which Panasonic". After deciding how much I could spend, I plumped for the 28" DK2? Why? It's got Dolby Prologic surround sound, and it's silver. It's not a superflat screen, nor it is 100KHz, but it was flat enough.
