Advantages: Good picture, decent size, nice design, no problems at all
Disadvantages: Not great sound, bit bulky, slow remote control
We recently got this television from Comet to replace an old Toshiba 'fat' television, with a slightly bigger screen size of 32' compared to 26'. Here is what we have found:
-First of all, if you want to buy from Comet, go to the store and collect, do not get it delivered. They never stick to delivery times, and it is a horrible hassle having to re-arrange with no compensation. I think Comet are great in store, but not on delivery.
-This is a great quality television when using the HDMI. The picture is really smooth, crisp, and bright. The Sony Bravia is the one that everyone is pimping at the moment, but for a cheaper alternative I really like this one as the picture quality isn't hugely different. There is a little blurring when watching fast sports activities, but it is otherwise really good. And playing video games on this is a privilege.
-The remote control isn't the fastest and it can sometimes take a few presses of the button for anything to happen which is a shame.
-Design wise it looks pretty sleek, although maybe a little bulky down the bottom for the size.
-The sound is quite echo'y however, and I would recommend getting a decent sound system to go with it.
The only thing I will say about a 32' is that, for most people, it will be plenty big enough. 32' is fine. But if you have ever watched TV on a regular basis on a bigger screen (in my last house we had a 42'), 32' suddenly looks very small. So just something to think about.
But as a television I have had no bad experiences with this one, and if you can get a good price I would recommend it.
