This TV has such a sharp crystal clear picture that when you watch blu ray movies or HD channels the picture is still perfectly clear unlike I have had with pervious TVs where the image was all pixelated.
This TV has an A+ grade rating on its energy efficiency rating. This means that in the long run even if the TV costs you around £300 it will be cheaper to run than a TV with a lower grade rating at a similar price and this means that you will overtime have a cheaper TV if you buy the more expensive TV.
There is a parental lock available on this TV which means that parents can stop young children from being able to watch specific channels that they do not want them to be and they could essentially set this so that when the child's bedtime arrives the parents can turn the lock on and this will stop the child being able to get up during the night and play video games or watch TV.
The sound in this TV is very good as it can be tuned up loud enough to be heard from several rooms around a house on full blast. The sound quality is also very good in the sense that the sound does not distort when it is turned up to the max on any channel and every word and sound effect can be heard clearly.
The TV has a USB connector that lets you plug a USB stick in to record off of Freeview TV. It also lets you play music, photos or videos through your TV which is very useful if you are having a party or want to watch some shows that are on your computer.
The remote control can be easily understood with the buttons being clearly laid out with text below them as to what they mean. The more important buttons like sound, on, off and change channel are all largely shaped which means that it is easy for anyone to get used to them even people with poor eyesight.
It is exceptionally easy to set up this TV by basically just plugging it in and turning it on. Then you tune it in and basically thats everything done, no hassle.
All in all I think that this TV is a good product.
The Panasonic TX-L39B6B TV brings a whole new world of HD entertainment straight to the comfort of your lounge. This incredibly affordable TV that comes in a very sleek design that doesn't detract from its superb functionality, offers exceptional viewing that's supported by exceptional sound quality, that immerses you in a remarkable experience. Yes, I am a Panasonic fan, but it's not hard to see why Panasonic are one of, if not the best when it come to home entertainment.
This set has an integrated Freeview tuner ,adding a further 50 digital channels for you to peruse at your pleasure without any contracts, subscriptions or fuss.
Its range of connectivity options is extensive, featuring 2 HDMI ports for easy connection to games consoles or Blu-Ray player; a USB port, from which you can playback you family or holiday photographs all on a 39" screen. You can even plug in stored music and listen to the big sound. There is of course a SCART socket as well.
All this can be done whilst being ECO friendly. Panasonic's ECO navigation mode automatically sets the TV to the most suitable energy saving mode, adjusting brightness to match room conditions. It also turns off after a certain time if not being watched.
Another feature that I really like is the search feature in the EPG which allows you to search for programmes of different genres.
These are incredible results for A TV that is not at the top end of the market. It's a quality product from a reliable brand. There are few TVs out there to match the ensured quality of Panasonic. It's fantastic value for its money, smaller TVs cost as much. This comes highly recommended.
By the way, my wife was adamant she didn't want a 40"+ monster taking over the room. I was so glad to find a 39". Guess what, she loves it!
The Panasonic came in the usual TV packaging. Once out of the packaging I was eager to get it setup. Once I had finished cutting up and binning all the cardboard and popped the TV on its table top stand I was ready to go. I found the television very easy to setup and I was up and running in no time. I think even my mother could have done it without reading the instructions. The buttons on the remote do exactly what you expect them to do and the menus for tuning, tweaking the colour settings and sound setting are very easy to use and navigate your way around.
The Panasonic TX-L39B6B really is just pure and simple. Black with a nice sleek frame, this television really does seem to be a good one. The set has very vivid colours, a very clean picture and an incredible dynamic sound that really gives you that cinema at home feel. It real does make you forget about being sat in on a Friday night whilst watching an action film rather than being sat in the pub. I now love to get hold of my console controller and get involved, it really is a treat for a gamer. The Panasonic really does show off the graphics of modern games and the sound really draws you in. The play back of Blu-ray is brilliant a very clean picture. The twin 10w speakers are more than capable of projecting the sound into any room.
The great slim design is easy to welcome into any space. The television is very energy efficient with Panasonics advanced LCD panel design. The official energy efficient class A+. There is also an ambient light level sensor that monitors the levels of light in your room and then adjusts your image to compensate. This I'm not sure does an awful lot but then if this function wasn't there then maybe there would be a difference to be noticed.
The set features built in Freeview HD turner for free-to-air viewing in High Definition. The built in HD Freeview gives you access to a good selection of Freeview channels. It also has all the expected modern connections such as your USB ports and HDMI Ports. Two HDMI connections, one scart connection, one USB connection, one composite video input and one component video input. So if you are a bit of a gadget geek like me you will have no problem hooking up your consoles, DVD players and surround sound.
Other features include the sleep timer for those who are planning to have the television in their bedrooms and usually fall asleep with the television on. There is also a parental lock for parents who want to make sure there children are doing their homework.
Panasonic has been one of the leading brands for years and this television really does them justice. It really is a great television. I would recommend this set to anyone, especially gamers. It really does tick all the boxes. Just good value for money.
