Philips 14PV203 ... easy-to-use TV-video combi on the market. It combines a nifty design and a high functionality with the comfort you need. Digital Studio Picture Control keeps checking the quality of your videotapes and reproduces the best possible picture performance. It optimizes the playback quality measuring the characteristics of the tape, adapting the resolution and reducing the picture noise. The Teletext contains an extremely precise time information. Your TV-VCR combi knows that and during the installation, it automatically reads out this precious information. You can then use your combi as the clock reference in your home, as the time is readjusted every day. You even don't have to worry about changing from summer to wintertime! Start a recording with the touch of a single button. Each further touch of the record button adds 30 minutes of recording time. The actual end time will be automatically calculated by the set and displayed.

I purchased this television as I needed a new one for the bedroom, as the last one fell off the cabinet and never worked again. I purchased it brand new from a local tv dealership, who has been there for 15 years. I paid at the time £71.60 for it. I have lots off old VHS tapes that I still love to watch, so purchased this instead of a DVD combo. PICTURE The picture is really good, I have freeview in the bedroom, and the picture quality comes up trumps.
