Once I unpacked this TV I was amazed at the picture, the unit would look good in any room, it is so easy to set up unlike a lot of TV's, The sound from the set itself is not to bad but if you plug it into a surround system then you have a great picture and sound 5.1 is the best, the other great thing about this TV is the amount of imputes you have on the rear you have two scart sockets and you also have three HDMI inputs, and then on the side you get another HDMI input an svideo input, and out put pins then again on the back you get audio out and audio in plus the pr pb and y pins for plugging in camcorders ect, there is also a audio in jack, so no matter what you want to plug into your TV this has it all. The amber light is just the cherry on the cake, put a movie on shut the curtains turn out the light and turn on the amber light, and Enjoy.
If you are looking for a new TV Then I can highly recommend this one.
