We bought this 42" LCD tv for our lounge last year. The Ambilight gives a wonderful effect especially when watching movies. The Ambilight effect means that if you are watching e.g. a sealife programme and the screen is showing images under the see, the Ambilight glows blue which adds to the viewing experience and really makes you feel part of the programme.

Philips have always produced good quality TV's and this is no exception. It is beautiful to look at with its black high gloss finish. It mounts easily on to the wall, and looks simple and modern. Its set up is simple and not time consuming at all. The menu's are simple to navigate and manage.

The sound is excellent and is enhanced when paired with a surround sound home cinema system. The speakers are built into the TV and so the design remains streamlined looking, simple and modern and fits well with contemporary interiors.

Summary: A great looking TV simple to use.
