I come home to find this TV in replacement for my older much smaller one. So there it is , My partner has gone out and brought the TV he has been wanting for weeks. With out my knowledge. The Philips 42PF9831 is one of the best Large screen LCD televisions available at this moment in time. Apart from being able to show off the superb full Ambilight Technology, it also benefits from the excellent philips technology Pixel Plus 3. This HD Ready TV is capable of displaying upto 720p resolution, and has a contrast ratio of 4500:1. The contrast ratio on any TV is the difference between light and dark colours.
