This 26" Samsung TV is a unit hat I have owned for almost two years and I am in no hurry to replace it! I believe that the original RRP for this unit was £479.95 however this pricing was 3 years ago. The unit is no longer in production and you can pick them up second hand on Ebay for between £150 and £200.

The actual Television is well designed following the curved designs used by Samsung for the last few years; the highly glossy finish gives a semi mirrored effect which looks great although it does have a tendency to collect A LOT of dust.

Connectivity on this product is great for a smaller TV, 2 x HDMI, 1 x Component, 2 x Scart as well as the standard audio and optical outputs. Another great advantage is the built in Freeview tuner which offers over a ten fold amount of channels compared to analogue.

The 720P HD screen here is very good, blacks are deep and colours are very vivid thanks to the 5000:1 contrast ratio. The 8ms response rate and 60Hz Refresh has resulted in me never encountering flicker with this unit which is, in my opinion, a necessity if you are going to be connecting any games consoles or computers; also this shows you really don't need the 200-400hz rates on some of the more up-to-date expensive models! The sound for this type of television is very good. Bass is deep and audio is clear and sounds very natural.

Overall I would recommend this television for a secondary TV in your household and for a smaller gaming monitor. If you can find a second hand unit for under £200 I would definitely recommend considering this product among even the newer products.
