Advantages: Attractive design, great picture for both TV and high definition gaming

Sooner or later, most people have or will make the leap from the traditional CRT televisions of yesteryear, to flat screen feature packed models. If price is your only consideration, get a cheap TV from your local supermarket. If you want price, quality and features, this Samsung is still relatively cheap, yet packs a powerful punch, comparable to some of the higher specification TVs offered by rivals. The design of the set itself is very stylish, and should look good in most households, whether free standing or wall mounted. Picture quality is excellent - analogue and digital signals both look fantastic, but plug your HD compatible box in via one of the 3 HDMI ports, and you'll be blown away. My only slight gripes are with the sound (fairly quiet), which I got around by wiring the television through the amplifier of my hi-fi. Secondly, the picture settings can be greatly tweaked if you know what to search for in Google, it's just a shame these settings aren't applied by default, as the TV would be even more appealing. A great product at a great price, and worth considering for anybody who has a budget, but wants a TV that will look good and last.
