I am no TV buff but I must say I adore this television.
We went from a big box to this flat screen so it seemed like the biggest decision of my life choosing it.
Don't get me wrong the price was a big swing on this. We had a budget but to look at this set you wouldn't think it cost us about £250.
The picture is crisp - I couldn't really tell the difference between the LCD and LED versions. The sound is cracking and considering I am pretty deaf I only need it on around 25% of its capability.
We thought the 32" would be too small and nearly went for the 37" but I am glad we didn't. It is surprisingly large. I think the black "casing" is far smaller than on your old style televisions.
It has the AV connectivity, S-video and headphone. My favourite though is the HDMI connection. We can at last connect the laptop to the television allowing us to watch the likes of 4OD! This is only on the side.
The input/output in the back available are:
HDMI - 3
PC input (D-sub) - 1
Component(Y/Pb/Pr) - 1
RF input - 1
Optical sound out - 1
RS232C (for Service only) - 1
Scart - 2
I will be honest, this is a totally female response to this product. I am never the best person to give statistics on technological kit!
I would recommend this television to people though. For a standard TV that is HD ready it is a great size with excellent sound and picture quality.
It does however get very dusty....................typical female!
I was a bit sceptical when I purchased this TV as I'd head that 1080p on a 32" TV was not worth it. How wrong those people were! Firstly, the look of the TV is brilliant, the red tinge makes it look less like a bit of technology and more like an arty sculpture. Equally, the remote control is really tactile and nice to look at, if a little confusing! The stand is substantial and the swivel function is very useful and it comes with a blanking plate for wall mounting. It is also very light so easily wall mounted.
The 1080p function works perfectly, and when connected to a blue-ray player or playstation 3, the image is perfect, and just as good as it would be on a much large television. All the stats speak for themselves and I have not been disappointed. Connections were the big highlight of this product. If you can't connect a bit of technology to this TV then its not worth having! Most of the inputs (HDMI, VGA etc...) have their own audio input so you can connect things like PC's with sound without using an HDMI connection.
The bad or annoying things.
The remote response time is a little slow, although friends have said it is a lot faster than their cheaper models. To get to the HDMI and PC sources, you must scroll through the standard Scart sources first, if I had made this, I would have put the HDMI sources first. The sound is not great and lacks a bit of bass, but most people will have a separate sound system so will not notice this.
Other than this it is perfect. There is a reason that this TV has not dropped in price for the last 6 months!
