The first Samsung product I ever bought and I was incredibly impressed. The price was reasonable and at the time this TV has some of the best specifications on the market.
Picture: The picture quality on this Tv was fantastic, boasting a great contrast ratio and a decent brightness. After a bit of tweaking I got the picture perfect. Reception through the built in Freeview reciever was fantastic and a massive boost to viewing quality. I found the blacks dark and deep and gaming on this TV was fantastic, especially when turning on gaming mode. I found Blu-rays also looked incredible on this TV.
Sound: Like most TV's the sound isnt comparible to seperate speakers, however in comparison to other TV's I found the sound quality on this TV to be one of the best.
Build Quality: This TV was well built, has a fairly low power consumption and didnt run too hot.
Connections: At the time of buying this TV it has all the connections I could need. Although I there was only one HDMI port I had an amp with HDMI throughput so had multiple devices connected through that. I also had my PC connected to the DVI connection on the back. I was also able to output audio from my TV to my amp via SPDIF. This TV is 720p which is really as high as you need for a 32 inch TV.
Overall: Though I have replaced this TV with another Samsung (40 inch and 1080P) I have kept it and moved it to the bedroom where it has continued to perform gloriously. Even now its gets as much use and my new TV. As of yet I have had no issues with this TV and there are absolutely no dead pixels. Although dated, if able to get one cheap enough I would recommend this TV to anyone.
I purchased this TV in order to play Xbox 360 games in high definition and it certainly does the job. It does 720p and 1080 interlacing very well and the picture quality and sharpness and very impressive.
The built in freeview is easy to use and quite responsive to button presses. The rest of the functions like changing the picture settings, sharpness and so on isnt as quick to respond as i'd like and also turning the tv off or on is quite a slow affair. It seems to take a while to turn on and get fully bright, a bit like an old CRT television would.
The sound from the Samsung is pretty good and there are a range of options to fine tune it to your tastes. There are a number of built in sound styles or you can customize your own. It doesnt do bass sounds very well and the speakers will crackle if you turn it up loud with high bass on.
Having said that for watching every day tv via freeview or sky, or even playing computer games through it, its a pleasure to use and watch. There are lots of connectors at the back for SCART, HDMI or component cables and installation of the tv on to the stand is simple.
This is a really great product at a great price. Picture quality is good as is sound. It serves as a great tv for the lounge. The only downside would be that it seems to take a little while to turn on and changing channels is not as fast as on my Sony Tv. But overall replacing the my old monster Toshiba tv this is a great product and would really recommend it. Samsung really produce some nice looking products at great prices. The only downside to a 32 inch tv is that quite a big stand is required. Make sure that you dont get too tall a stand for the room its going in as the tv is wide but can get dwarfed on a 3 shelf stand - otherwise is built for walll hanging which would be an excellent option. I bought mine from currys and was delivered within a week which was a bit slow but otherwise good service and no problems so far!
