We bought this TV about 2 years ago from curry's for around £1150 (which we slightly haggled on the price with the salesman.) Included in the price was the TV (obviously), DVD player and a very nice looking TV stand.

We were very happy with our purchase and the other week I remember thinking, its still going strong, which is great. Until when we tried to turn the TV on it just kept clicking, turning on and off (without any picture coming up.)
Every day we would try turning it on and every day it just clicked on and off for even longer periods of time, for 2hours one day and that was it we knew the TV was knackered.

Now this is the bad point about Samsung, the fault that I have just explained above is a well known fault with Samsung TV's and Samsung know this themselves yet they still make their TV's knowing this and generally don't really care, this fault is known to occur after around 2 years of using the TV.

There are two options if this happens to your TV, either send it back to Samsung to be repaired for the princely sum of £150, remember they know of this fault and this is probably just another one of their ways to make even more money out of us.
The other option is to fix it yourself for £1.50, yes that's correct and not a mistake £1.50 so how can Samsung charge so much for a £1.50 fault? Daylight robbery I would say.

Only try to fix your own TV if you are confident enough to do so, if not possibly find someone else who is, as you could end up damaging your TV beyond repair.

Our TV is now working perfectly like the day we bought it, no more clicking, it turns straight on. It has been a few months now and if it happens again we know it is only going to cost us £1.50 to mend (which should be in about another 2 years or so.)

Apart from this known fault, I really like the Samsung TV, it's stylish and it all fits well together.

The picture quality is very good on this TV, never had a problem with the picture quality, the sound is also good but because i am used to hearing everything from the surround sound, when this is turned off the TV does seem quiet.
This TV is also HD ready.
