Advantages: Quality, Reliable, Looks Great, Good Design, Easy To Use, Many Features, HD Ready
Disadvantages: Expensive
I have had this television for a couple of years now and I must say that it's flawless. It's a real pleasure to watch as it looks fantastic and the screen quality is excellent. It's very modern and supports all modern day cables so you can connect your DVD player, games consoles, Sky box and everything else.
The television can be bought online or from electrical stores such as Currys for around £640, which isn't bad at all. You get a huge 40 inch HD ready television with HDMI and iDTV (digital television). It has a 3000:1 dynamic ratio, which gives superb contrast between the blacks and whites and a clear gradation between them, which leads to a vivid picture.
Samsung's 10 bit processing method gives 6.4 billion colours available for a superb picture. That's an awful lot of colours! The television has a digital natural image engine, which delivers the most life-like images as close to real life as they can get. The television is excellent for gaming too, as I am an Xbox 360 owner. You can switch to game mode, which realy puts you in the game with a faster response time and sharpness. The surround sound effects are also enhanced to really put you in the game and make it an enjoyable experience. Note that Samsung are sponsors of the Xbox 360 so all of their game demos are played on Samsung TVs.
You can even hook up a PC to the television to view the display on a huge 40 inch screen. The television has built in digital TV, which is useful considering we are all switching over to digital soon enough.
It looks fabulous too. A shiny black border with the silver Samsung logo below surrounds the black screen. There are big vertical speakers either side on the television and below is a silver panel where the On/Off button lies right in the middle. The television leads down to a smooth base, which is shiny black too. It looks really modern with the smooth curve of the base, which can stand on a television stand, desk or a table.
Overall, it's an excellent television and works really well. It comes with a long black remote, which is easy to use and I've never had a problem with the television. The picture quality is first class and you get a large quality picture, which is really clear and life-like but you mustn't sit too close to it. I'd recommend buying one if you can although it's now a discontinued product.
Thanks for reading,
Dan ©
