I did a lot of research before I took the plunge and bought this TV and it has not disappointed. I visited a few shops, compared picture quality and price - and then bought it cheaper on the internet! It's black, chic and funky-looking so it does not look like a monstrosity in the corner of your room when it's turned off. When on, its picture is defined, clear and vibrant - much preferable to many other t.v.s. Sound quality is also clear and crisp. Also, 26" seems plenty big enough for my semi-deteached living room. At 26" this probably counts as a small TV these days, but it's plenty big for us. Picture The quality is very, very good. Crisp, clear and good contrast. The settings allow you to switch between several modes, but we've settled on the 'normal' one Sound Good. Initially we found that we had to keep resetting the sound louder than we started, but that's probably because we were used to the settings on the old tv.
