      A quality TV

I did a lot of research before I took the plunge and bought this TV and it has not disappointed. I visited a few shops, compared picture quality and price - and then bought it cheaper on the internet!
It's black, chic and funky-looking so it does not look like a monstrosity in the corner of your room when it's turned off. When on, its picture is defined, clear and vibrant - much preferable to many other t.v.s. Sound quality is also clear and crisp. Also, 26" seems plenty big enough for my semi-deteached living room.
I have my tv connected to cable + a dvd player + a video player and it all works fine and dandy. I dread having to set up t.v.s but the Samsung was ok.
The remote control is easy to operate.
I have had the t.v for around four years now and there has been no problem. I'm glad about this because this was a worry when I bought it over the internet (I didn't want to return it in the post!)
The only downside is that the shiny black surface can show the dust. It needs cleaning with a very soft cloth because I put a few marks on the base once in my vigorous cleaning routine.

Good clear tv without a premium price

At 26" this probably counts as a small TV these days, but it's plenty big for us.

      Picture
The quality is very, very good. Crisp, clear and good contrast. The settings allow you to switch between several modes, but we've settled on the 'normal' one

      Sound
Good. Initially we found that we had to keep resetting the sound louder than we started, but that's probably because we were used to the settings on the old tv. The sound is clear and, as our room isn't that big, 18' at the longest), one setting does the whole room.

      Remote
Actually quiet good. Clear, unfussy but with all the functions. Handy light button that illuminates the channel and sound buttons.

      Reception
Ok, obviously depends on the ariel, but very good - picks up all the freeview channels with no problem.

      Setup
Usual plug & play type. So easy that I've forgotten all about it. Setting the stand was the most complicated I think - remember having to read the instructions on that. Otherwise, no issues.

      Overall
Very pleased with it. Had a lot of doubt before buying, being black and shiney etc, but having lived with it for a few months am very happy. I can't speak for it's reliability yet, but Samsung have a good reputation so should be ok.
