When I was looking to upgrade my old television which was so big & dated, I decided to have a look around to see what was on offer with the slim LCD's that are around. I did alot of research & in the end decided to go for this 40 inch offering from Samsung.
Samsung always pride themselves in their TV's looking the part & this model is no exception. It's got a lovely glossy piano black finish with the speakers discretly hidden on either side of the television. It comes with a built in table top stand & can be wall mounted if you require.
So it may look beautiful but how well does it perform? Well this model is definetly feature rich featuring 3 HDMI's ports allowing you to connect your HD devices & view tham in 1080p Full HD resolution. I have connected my Sky HD as well as my Playstation 3 and the picture qualiy on both is sharp & very impressive. Even on non-HD material, the television will automatically upscale this to get it close to the high definition experience.
LCD's often tend to struggle dealing with fast motion scene, in order to deal with this, the TV has a 100hz motion plus mode which allows fast motion to be deal with more smootly producing a much nicer overall effect.
There also a USB port on board this model allowing you to play music from any USB stick as welll as view your pictures on this massive screen.
This is a feature rich, high end television from Samsung which set me back £1200 when I bought mine which isn't bad value considering the quality of the set. If you fancy something larger, a 46' version is also available.
