Advantages: huge screen and great picture quality.
Disadvantages: sound could be better.
I purchased this tv in november 2006 and since my purchase have been very pleased with what i got for my money. the fact that it is hd ready along with my hd package from virgin media means i am now watching tv like i have never seen it before.
I paid £1500 for it but i got it £500 pound cheaper than the usual price however it can be found now around the £1200 mark. at either of these prices it is well worth the cash.
The only problem i have found with the tv which is minimul is a slow response time between the tv and the remote control, this does not occur always but can be annoying when it does.
It comes with 2 scart sockets an svc socket and also a usb connection and its own seperate pc channel. It also comes with dnle (Digital Non-Linear Editing) and a brightness sensor which automatically changes the tv picture quality to the best possible viewing quality.
The sound on the tv is not of the highest quality but there is of course the option to add surround sound which when added makes this tv the out and out viewing experience. i purchased a panasonic sa-ht990 surround sound system which works perfectly with this tv.
All in all i would have no problems recomending this tv to anyone with the space to put a tv the size of this, it comes with a 1 year warranty which can of course be upgraded with an extended warranty such as the one i took out on purchase.
