At times, with 3 kids in the house, it can be a nightmare for myself and my partner to try and relax in front of the television as they always want to watch their programmes or connect either the Wii or Playstation up to it.

They do have a television in their bedroom but it is quite small and not brilliant for playing their games on so we decided to combat the problem by getting them a better quality television for their bedroom in the hope that we could have some peace and quiet downstairs!

We didn't want anything too expensive, but nor did we want anything too cheap and tacky as it still wouldn't be much good for them. After much deliberation, we purchased the Samsung UE26C4000 from Amazon.

The boys have a decent sized bedroom but it isn't huge so we decided a 26" television would be a decent sized television for them but without it looking out of place in their bedroom as they were after a 32" television! We decided quite early on that a Samsung television would be good as we have owned a few Samsung televisions and they have been perfect, both in terms of quality and price.

We purchased this television for £320.00, which I don't think is bad for a good quality Samsung television. It has a really stylish look to it with a black, plastic sleek looking frame that isn't too thick, but feels and looks well made and sturdy.

This is a modern looking, 26" LED HD ready tv, 50hz television with freeview. The picture is crisp and clear and you can see every little detail which proved to me that we made the right decision in purchasing this television and the sound quality was just as good. There was no interference or background noise with each sound being as clear as it needs to be.

The kids have used both the Playstation and the Wii up on this television and they are really pleased with the graphics of their games. I thought they might complain that the tv is too small considering they are used to playing their games on our 47" television downstairs, but they have had no complaints whatsoever.

Within the box, you get the television, remote control batteries, instruction manual, and power cable. The set up is really easy and the television is really lightweight so can easily be carried from room to room. The black stand is really sleek and sturdy but takes up very little room on your stand. We have ours on a chest of drawers in the boys bedroom and they still have room for a couple of other things on there.

You can play/connect photos, movies and music etc via USB and you can connect Samsung compatible devices too via HDMI.

Overall, we as a family are really pleased with this television. The kids can happy watch a bit of tv or play their games on it and the picture and sound are really sharp. Although you can get far cheaper televisions than this, I believe we made the right choice as it looks great in their bedroom and it does the job really well. It is lightweight but yet well made and sturdy and doesn't look or feel like a cheap and cheerful television.

So far, it has proven to be a reliable television and I have full confidence that things will remain that way. All in all this is proving to be a very sound purchase and therefore it comes with a recommendation from me.
