Advantages: VESA mounting, great sound, buil in radio tuner

Disadvantages: Not HD, Outdated, poor image quality

I purchased this TV in 2006 and have been pleased and disappointed in equal measure. I am pleased that the TV has been used pretty much every day since it's purchase and yet it still works perfectly well. It is mounted onto an extending cantilever wall bracket and as it has a VESA compatible mount spacing on the back, it was a doddle to install.

Despite not being a HD TV it has HDMI inputs, as well as Scart, RGB, Composite and VGA. It can be used with a PC, games consoles, HD DVD player due to the multitude of inputs.

The TV itself has a rather ropey picture and no amount of tweaking or adjusting seems to have helped this. The image is grainy and at times very blocky, especially when showing dark images or images with many shades of the same colour.

The TV has a great sound quality and a built in FM radio tuner, as well as an alarm facility so you don't need an alarm clock if you use this in your bedroom.

The build quality is great and what you would expect from Sharp, it's just a disappointment in the image quality department. My old Sony CRT has a far crisper and clearer image.

The thing that has annoyed me with this TV is that I've just come to use one of the scart inputs for the first time and it doesn't work. It has no signal from it at all. This leads me to now question the build quality..

Summary: Not worth the £565 I paid for it 2 and a half years ago.
