The Shapr LC19D1 is a 19inch LCD TV which we purchased as a second television for our house. We currently use it in the kitchen although it has previously been used in the bedroom. It is a neat looking good quality HD ready tv, which is extremely handy due to its size and how it blends in unobtrusively to any space.
The TV itself is HD ready, although is not a HDTV (not many this size are I understand) and has a built in freeview tuner. Unfortunately I can't comment on how the freeview box works as we appear to be the only street in our area which doesn't get freeview. (Must be some sort of black out zone I guess).
The picture on the TV itself is very clear (sharp is probably the best word for it) and the sound quality is good. It doesn't become tinny as it gets louder, which is quite often teh case for smaller tv's.
It has sockets for a HDMI cable and a scart lead so you can attach a sky box, dvd player or games console. This makes it a very handy second tv for a bedroom or a teenagers room. It is easy to set up as it self scans the channels. We also use it with a sky extender allowing us to watch sky in the kitchen.
The TV itself is good looking, it has a black frame and the buttons are around the side to keep it looking neat. All in all this is a good quality second tv set, which cost around £120. A bargain for any small room or ideally a bedroom.
