My Panasonic Plasma 42" had developed a fault thus I was supplied with this Sharp model brand new out of the box. If I had bought this as a replacement and paid the sort of money (£1000 plus) I would have been very disappointed; not a happy bunny at all. This set just didn t have what it takes; colour, definition, contrast whatever it was a long way below par compared to the fantastic Panasonic. OK, my ecperience of this TV was a short one of about 2 weeks while the Panasonic was being repaired but the only good thing I can ...

of aestheticism, of course, was to purchase a new silver 17 inch Widescreen LCD television! Dogs gonads! Following some extensive research (basically dependent on price), we opted for the Sharp LC-17SH1E, a gorgeous, sexy looking TV at the tremendously good price of £297, from Digital Direct. The price currently seems to range between £297 to £400, so a bargain! Get on with it man! .. Oh, OK. * Anyway, what s an LCD Television? * Oh sorry, didn t you know? It s the latest technology; it s slim and sleek and flat and … er …slim. Well I don t know really, so I d better just dig up some basics….. bit more up to date. After looking at numerous 28? wide screen TVs and being put off by the sheer size of them I opted for an LCD. Sharp seem to be one of the leaders in LCD technology and having read the reviews for this TV I took the leap and went for it. Rather than pay £2250 for it in a retail shop I went through a number of Internet sites and found it online for £1500. Once out of the box, setting it up is relatively simple although I think that the manual should identify which scart sockets in the separate AV unit are for which source slightly earlier than page 42. This separate unit means that there is only one lead and the power lead going into the back of ...
