Sharp LC-37GE1E ... six milliseconds, a 50 per cent higher contrast ratio, and a whole package of picture-enhancing technologies, Sharp really sets new standards in terms of image quality.

Sharp, the technological leader in LCD TVs, with the AQUOS LC-37GE1E presents a new masterpiece in the Full-HD segment. With full HDTV resolution of 1, 920 x 1, 080 pixels and a screen measuring 94 centimeters diagonally, the viewer will certainly see even the tiniest drop of sweat when the forward is running towards the opponents' goal.

Yet not only the resolution of the panel sets standards. With the 50 per cent reduced pixel response time of 6 milliseconds, even the fastest ball will not create any ghosting effects, and the enhanced viewing angle of 176 degrees ensures that all eleven friends sitting in a semicircle in front of the TV can enjoy the same brilliant image.

Besides the high-quality panel, a whole package of new picture-enhancing technologies provides for an absolutely brilliant picture. With the new four-wavelength backlight, Sharp generates a fourth color peak adding crimson to the standard colors, red, green and blue. This additional "redder red" provides much more natural colors and pictures than ever seen before - although this is only unconsciously perceived by the human eye. Moreover, to give the picture unprecedented crispness, the scaler algorithms have been optimized. The increased contrast ratio of 1, 200: 1 ensures brilliant detail reproduction. In addition, the contrast is optimized thanks to Dynamic Contrast Enhancement (DCE), which enhances the lightest and darkest dots and makes the pictures seem even more 3D.

The new, flat HDTV TV not only convinces by brilliant picture reproduction, but also in terms of sound. The detachable new two-way speaker system with 15 watts and Dolby Surround makes the TV evening at home a full-sound cinematic event. Due to the Clear Voice Function, voices sound even clearer. In order to ensure that the volume is not increased beyond the acceptable level during commercials, the Auto Volume Control Function (AVC) automatically reduces the loudness to the level of the program being watched before.

Besides the inner values, Sharp's AQUOS LC-37GE1E offers convincing connectivity: it incorporates two HDMI interfaces with HDCP support and two SCART sockets.

Thanks to the integrated DVB-T tuner, the LC-37GE1E saves space and also money when digital terrestrial TV is received, since the integrated solution makes the additional, external DVB-T tuner superfluous.

great tv. Bought the TV from Comet a few months ago cost me £549.99 which for starters i couldn t find a cheaper 1080p tv anywhere else with a 37 inch Slim Line Design, High Brightness 450 cd/m2, Dynamic Contrast 20,000:1 and also a very fast 6m/s Response Time. all this for such a great price what more could i ask for. But that s not all i have this beauty hooked on my wall my trusty Xbox 360 elite via HDMI i get the best of the best quality out of the Full HD when i play games. Even my pc built in via the pc input slot and this has near perfect quality watching standard dvd s. I dont watch too much tv as i like to be on my pc or xbox most of the time i sometimes ...

I checked it in the shops and was happy with the looks (the better half gave approval). The TV looks fabulous with it s piano black base and frame. Sound quality is not brilliant but a thousand times better than the device it has replaced. Once you have tweaked settings, the picture quality with Freeview and Sky+ is excellent! ...

I bought this Sharp LC-42X20E last year and am extremely happy with its looks, and more importantly its performance. A sleek black elegant border and slim design shows off the picture quality to its best effect without any distractions. I have seen a lot of LCD screens in the shops but when I saw this one it just blew me away with its picture quality. Setting it all up was easy but the settings for the colour, contrast etc were far too high for my liking and after adjusting these controls to my satisfaction the picture was outstanding.
