I bought this Sharp LC-42X20E last year and am extremely happy with its looks, and more importantly its performance. A sleek black elegant border and slim design shows off the picture quality to its best effect without any distractions. I have seen a lot of LCD screens in the shops but when I saw this one it just blew me away with its picture quality. Setting it all up was easy but the settings for the colour, contrast etc were far too high for my liking and after adjusting these controls to my satisfaction the picture was outstanding. Replaced my Samsung 32" 1080i model with the Sharp. There really is no comparison when it comes to picture & sound quality, the Sharp is a huge improvement. The contrast and colour depth on the Sharp are exceptional. When I chose this model I was looking at the HD demonstrations on all the various makes, and the Sharp stood out above all the others. You actually thought you could be looking at the real scene. Even on digital TV broadcasts the picture excels.I would recommend this TV without reservation. The connectivity is also good with 3 HDMI, 2 Scart, component etc.
