rubbish at playing dvd picture quality but it s very good on this tv and even better on blu ray. When I got this tv, I got a free S Sharp BR player thrown in with the deal plus a tv stand, not sure if you will get that now but if you see this tv around, it s worth negotiating! When connecting blu ray, the tv automatically picks up and converts the signal into 1080p/24hrz so you can watch blu ray the way you are meant to! It also has a fantastic flicker rate/refresh rate of 4ms to ensure the best picture quality. you have a medium-large size room it does not take over and goes very well. As soon as you turn this TV on the picture and sound quality hits you in the face with a BANG the people look so "real" although you may think this of your own TV you do not realise it till you see this television. The sliq modern design is very flattering, it is not very large on the back and from the front looks flat screen. The curved bottom makes it very aesthetically pleasing. The shiny black outer compliments the vivid colours that the screen gives out. The small base does not stand out and definatly doesnt take away from the amazing television.
