Advantages: reliability and picture quality

This TV is outstanding! We had tried the Sharp TV of the same size because Sharp has a good name and was a few hundred dollars cheaper than the Sony. However, we experienced issues with the Sharp - it has problems when showing analog channels with the channel indicator flickering on screen every minute or two. We took it back to Walmart and they allowed us to exchange it for the Sony with no questions asked.
The Sony has a quality picture with both analog and digital. The picture is lifelike and beautiful with a crisp, clear precision that cannot be matched by Sanyo or Sharp. It is well worth the extra cost. In this case, you do get what you pay for.
Times are tough in the current economy and TV viewing is a part of our everyday relaxation without having to pay an arm and leg for other leisure activities. We decided to treat ourselves to a nice TV. Thank and thank you Sony.
