They do say LCD TV s do not give you the reflection of light that the old TV s did. I cannot vouch for all LCD TV s but this one certaintly lives up to this expectation. We were also worried by the rumours that an image can burn itself onto the screen if there for a while. In our house we tend to have the discovery channel on all of the time, and up until now there is no evidence of burnt images.
