I have got a few televisions and this Sony Bravia KDL22S5500U is in my kitchen because I wanted something good to have on view whilst cooking but something not to small either.
The first thing to mention is the size which is 22 inches and that is fairly good for any television screen but perhaps more so the bedroom or the kitchen which are more likely to feature this television.
I think the name Sony Bravia can easily attract people I have a few televisions which are Sony Bravia and they are a huge brand name but what else helps is that they have such a nice television for people to have.
The television is black and has the Sony and Bravia logos on the screen to make sure people know what you have in your home and you have all the main controls on the left hand side which is where the on/off button is located as well.
The contrast ratio is 8000:1 which I know helps create a better picture during dark scenes and before I never really paid much attention as to what that meant the ratio but now I know I am pretty sure that is a good contrast ratio to have but I know as well there are better televisions out there.
The television is HD and has 720p resolution so it is not full HD but it is close enough for me the graphics are fantastic and all the scenes you see which are top quality HD on your Sky Box look fantastic when presented on this television.
You have the HDMi slots in the back for the other items you want to plug in such as DVD players and a Sky HD Box and even other things like computers as well which would be really nice to use on this screen.
The display resolution is 1366 x 768 and that to me means nothing so sorry to sound so stupid but it does not mean much to me but might to other people.
You have very good styles of viewing whether cinema style viewing where the screen goes to widescreen or perhaps you want to view standard as well these are there for you to look at and sometimes some movies look great in different types of viewing situations.
There is plenty to admire about the television it is a big brand name so the quality you would expect to be good is and it is quite thin at the back as well. The screen is a LCD format and is quite large to fit in some good locations. There is HDMi slots at the back to help attach many other items and there is many other features such as a timer to help when the television goes off. You have many languages there to choose from and a power managment system as well.
I think when I watch movies and sports on this television this is when the HD shines through and stands out for me but when I see normal television such as chat shows and new programmes you get very little out of the product.
I think the sound is fantastic and everything sounds so loud even when on a small volume number as well. You have the option as well to use this as a computer screen so another fantastic option for people to admire.
I would recommend this to most people and I paid £200 for this at a discount centre a few months ago and I think that is a fantastic price and deal.
