Like many HDTV users, when I first purchased this HDTV I did not actually have any HD devices to plug into it. The picture however was still very clear and I was happy with the product.
Like many I am sure, I was sceptical about how much difference HD really offered, however, once I had purchased a HD capable product (a Playstation 3) I was amazed at the difference in quality. I connected the console by both scart and then HDMI cable, and the differences were large. The bright colours were much more vibrant and the blacks much deeper when playing through HD connectivity.
The sound is very good for a standalone TV, but I still bought a surround sound system to accompany it with improved results.
The digital built in tuner works fine and found all the channels available to me in my area. Living in a rural part of Cornwall, you don't always get all the TV channels promised however, which is of no fault to the TV.
Connectivity is very good with an ample amount of all ports provided and I have never been wanting for more ports to connect up to it.
Overall a very good TV that isn't too small or too oversized for the average living room that provides excellent picture clarity and very good sound.
We bought our Sony Bravia KDL 32 " four months ago for our flat and are really pleased with it. Before we had a Sharp and after its third breakdown we decided that was it ,it is now consigned to the bedroom where it will wait until we get enough energy to get it fixed . Back to the Sony, it has a bright clear picture and really good sound. we particularly like the design which is streamlined and modern ,ours is the black version and fits in well with our rather austere lounge. One requirment that we had was that it fitted into the existing space,(we installed it ourselves),it does so with a midges whisker to spare! You have to have very small fingers to turn the power button on on the side but that was our choice and we are glad we bought it as it looks great and would look even better if I dusted the stand on which it can swivvel.
The remote is easy to use and has all the normal features,I have used the teletext and looked at our fotos from our digital camera on it ,pretty good for an IT dinosuar like me.
The price was I think reasonable being about 450pounds and we bought the 5year guarantee package with it ,just in case but we hope that Sony live up to their reputation of reliability which was one of the factors which influenced us in buying it.
This is a stunning TV with an amazing display, and at a price that is very affordable! We love this TV, and use it to play Wii, PS3, watch tv and for all of those purposes are very impressed at the quality of picture, and ease of use! The remote control is good, and the connections on the back are numerous, if a little over the top! It looks good, which is very important when it is in your front room, and has a very good wide viewing angle, that covers our whole living room easily. It tilts well, and moves to the angles that you want well. It is frustrating how it changes the aspect ratio when you change channels, or when a programme comes back on after the break, which i know a lot of these TVs do, and I know it's for good reasons, but I find it very annoying and wish I could just switch that feature off and keep it on the full widescreen aspect ratio all the time! I love this TV, and don't see us upgrading for a good long time!
Oh how we love the Sony Bravia! We have a 40" version of this tv and, while it was quite costly at first, it is a great tv. The HD quality is fantastic and goes incredibly well with HD channels and our blue ray player. The remote and menu screens are very easy to use and understand. There is none of the confusion with a million buttons to just carry out a single simple task.
The tv itself is atractive. A simpe black with no bells and whistles. No silly LED lights driving me crazy, unlike the ones I have seen on similar Toshiba tv's. It is surprisingly lightweight for it's size and I don't have any concerns that one day it is going to randomly decide to topple over on my young niece!
The picture quality is fantastic with alternate settings to suit your own preferences. The sound quality is good but is phenomenal with a decent surround sound system installed. It does have a TV/Audio out port which is great...but this is becoming more common anyway. There are 3 HDMI ports, which is really helpful. I would recommend to friends with no hesitation.
Recently our old Toshiba TV packed in so we needed a nice replacement. I was browsing Amazon and after looking through pages and pages of TV's I spotted the Sony and noticed all the praising reviews. I must have rang every store in Belfast and looked on every website from Richer Sounds to Curry's and couldn't find a better price.
Luckily it arrived on Xmas Eve just in time for all the Xmas programmes we wanted to watch. I took the TV out of the box and had to admire how fantastic it looked. It has a nice piano black finish and really looks the part in the living room. Tuning it in was very easy and the choice of freeview channels is excellent.
The remote is very stylish and simply laid out. I switched it on and was amazed how much better the picture was compared to our old Toshiba TV. There are several different settings and I spent a good hour experimenting with them all. The sound quality is excellent and the speakers can make quite a noise if there are explosions or gunshots in movies so make sure you adjust the bass to your preference.
The 32" screen is adequate but I'm considering buying a 37" or 40" Bravia at some stage. You get a lot of TV for the money and I would highly recommend you buy one of these if you are on the look out for a new telly.
This is the best tv ever, i had a cheap lcd as i was nieve and thought that a cheaper option would be just as good but as soon as the year guarentee was up it just went bang, so i thought now that the prices have come down on all lcd tvs i chose this one as it was reviewed on the gadget show as one of the best in the market, I brought it from currys and i have been well impressed with my purchase once plugged in it auto installs your built in freeview and that is that simple no manual programme searching. After installation i had a play as you do with new gadgets and was impressed with the features, the picture quality was fantastic and as it was hd ready i put my hdmi cable in and the picture from my ps3 blue ray was unbelievable it has to be seen to be believed.
This is a superb mid range LCD TV. Apparently this 'V' range of Bravia televisions is a notch down in quality from the X range. This is worth researching on the internet- but I have seen both in action and the difference in negligible.
The Bravia range is matched only by the occasional Panasonic and Samsung product. But they are essentially the market leader and probably the best 32 inch out there (believe me iv spent hours comparing).
The picture quality is absolutely outstanding even on Standard Definition. But plug in an HD source and you will be blown away by the quality. It is awesome.
Setup is really easy but it is worth looking on the web fro the best settings and a quick fiddle with contrast and sharpness settings can make a world of difference.
Apparently some of the early versions of this only had one HD input but mine (and new versions) have 2 so this TV will last a long time.
Sound quality is superb too.
I cannot fault picture or sound quality whatsoever and the tv itself looke fantastic too.
