Reasonable TV for the Money

Advantages: Reasonable TV for the money
Disadvantages: Unreliable at times
I can't help but think Sony is losing its way a little. I've had this TV for about 3 years, and it's HD picture quality is very good, but still not as sharp as my 2006 Toshiba 32WLT66.
While the user interface is straightforward, and the remote control well laid out, the TV itself is subject to malfunction. For example, it sometimes freezes in standby, meaning I have to reach behind the cabinet to unplug it, leave it for 10 seconds and power up again. Not good if you're trying to catch the start of the England game!
With 3 HDMI sockets, this should be plenty for most, but bear in mind that 4 is becoming more common, so if you want to futureproof, bear this in mind.
One gripe with this TV is the on screen menu - it seems to take up half of the screen in full mode, and from basic mode, you have to go through the EPG to get programme details.
Generally not a bad TV at all - mines just not as reliable as one might expect from Sony.
Summary: Not up to Sony's usual standards.
