If your looking for a 32" Lcd tv then you have found the perfect partner.
Sony have come up with another gem here. Taking on the technolgy and success of the KDL D3000 they have redesigned the shell.
This tv has a swivel base, allowing you to move the tv to best suit your needs, although it can be viewed from through out 180 degrees.
There is some nice chrome detailing along the bottom of the unit, and below this a gunmetal bar which houses the speakers.
The rest of the fram of the tv is in what looks like black until you get it in the light and you realise its metallic. It is all sparkly with pink and green flecks in the dark blue surround. Truly looks ace.
Then we have the Sony logo, which can be either on or off, by this i mean when off it loks like a metal logo. But when you turn it on it lights up with a white light. Its not too bright either. Its just right and looks brilliant! Clever little addition!
The tv has 3 HDMI ports, two on the back and one on the side, to give you full 1080 High def.
The menu system is very easy to navigate, based majorly on the playstation 3 menu.
The tv is also very easy to tune freeview aswell, literally a few ok's through the menu and its off searchig for signals.
The tv recently had an update and has a picture viewer system. When the tv is on you can either watch tv or put one of the pre-loaded images to make your tv into a piece of art. To be fair it looks great anyway!
Now onto the sound and picture quality.
The sound for the size of the speakers has to be heard to be believed. They pack a fair punch for their size. Now i know that they arent that powerful but for what they are they are very very good. They obviously do not compare to av systems, but they arent supposed to!
The picture quality is just stunning, motion blur is kept to a minmal and the pictures are vibrant and crisp. Playstation 3 blu rays/dvds and games look amazing!
Overall i would have to say that Sony have again made a wonderful tv which is amazing in every aspect.
10/10 Top notch telly which you should consider before making your mind up!
We have had our Sony KDL-32W400 for just over a week and the picture is brilliant. This is our second Sony Bravia LCD television our first was a 26 inch which we were very pleased with. When we went to get our new tv we decide to go for a larger television with a 32 inch screen.
I have no idea how easy it is to set up as our local independant electrical store unpacked and set it up for us. They made it look very quick and easy.
The picture is really clear with excellent definition and contrast from all angles, although the screen swivels on its base as well. Handy for dusting behind it. You can of course have it hung on the wall.
I do not have satellite or a Blu-ray player so I could not give you an opinion on its H-D performance. However using freeview, dvd player or the wii it is great.
Did I mention how goodlooking it is, the glossy black suround has subtle irradescent flecks which glitter in the sunlight. I didn't notice until yesterday when the sun came out and we had already had it a week.
We have bought this TV from John Lewis who offer a 5 years free guarantee with it. This is our first LCD TV and I am more than impressed. The picture and sound quality are amazing. The resolution is 1080p and therefore HD ready. It has also got True movie technology if you have a Blu-Ray player making your movie experience more intensive and enjoyable. We have attached our PS3 to it as well and the the game graphics are clear and precise without any delays. It has a Dolby surround sound system and 2 built in speakers. The initial set up was easy and uncomplicated. You can either wallmount it or place it on a TV unit. The table top stand is supplied. You have to purchase a wallmount seperatley, but you can pick them up for bargain prices. Sony has always been one of the leaders in the Television market and this product certainly proofs, they deserve to be on top. I for one would choose Sony anytime again!
