box. I was not disappointed! The image quality compared to my old JVC CRT set was a quantum leap away and this was with the default settings! The jump to 40 inches from less than 28 inches was major shock, very much like the mass migration to widescreen sets some 10 years ago now. Setting up the set was very intuitive and allowed for a great deal of customisation, for example the ethernet port on the back of the TV that allows for internet based services was a shock in how easy it was to set up. not only that but sometimes it takes so long to respond that you press the button again and it gets rid of the menu! But the real fault with this T.V is the sound, it is absolutely shocking - the speakers provided are just not up to scratch and i find myself constantly cranking up the tinny sound to hear basically very little. Really poor in my eyes. Also, the USB dongle which Sony helpfully does not provide is £70! And you have to buy it as an extra if you want internet T.V! Daylight ...
