All round great quality, and the best on offer in its price range

In my opinion, Sony have always been able to set themselves apart from the rest of the market when it comes to quality and reliability, the Bravia KDL-40L4000 is no exception. I found the setup and installation to be straight forward, with available wall mount or stand options.

The system configuration menu is very easy to use, with easy accessibility to switch between the different systems connected to the various available ports (2xHDMI, 3xAV, 1xPC, Component).

The 1080p HD picture quality is simply superb, allowing you to truly enjoy HD TV, Blu-ray, and gaming console (mine being a PS3).

Although newer systems will present more connection options such as optical sound connection and more HDMI ports, and high end quality I found that this suited my needs perfectly. Lets face it, buying the top of the range will only sell you short when you realise that 6 months later the market price for that item has dropped considerably. So when trying to find a balance between size, quality and options it is in my opinion, the best LCD TV on offer in its price range.

The only disappointment is the amount of heat which the system generates, this is however a general downfall when it comes to LCD TV's in general, so any similar system would probably emit the same heat if not more.
